Purple Glitter by H&M! - Swatches and nail art!

Hey ladies, I hope you all are having a great day!

Today I have to show you a very, very pretty polish: Purple Glitter by H&M. It is my new favorite purple of all times! Only recently I found out that this one is very similar to some of the other beauties out there.
OPI It's MY Year, Zoya Faye and Zoya Daul are all similar but not dupes.. or Purple Glitter isnt a dupe of any of them! haha Im confused now >.<

So sorry for the tip wear! I just learned that you actually have to "wrap" your nails in Seche Vite in order to not get "tip wear" after a hour of having your new mani.. Yes, Im a newbie.

Besides the small bottle and very small brush I love this polish. All of it. Formula was amazing to work with, no problems with drying either :) One thing I regret I didnt buy more bottles of this little beauty, oh well..

But here is some nail art with it:

Basically I went for polishes with gold flakes in them I just didnt figure out that this choice would make it hard for me to photograph the mani and to show it to you :( I used Purple Glitter by H&M, Number One Nemesis from OPI and Choose Me by Essence.

If you are sitting there, squinting your eyes to see what I wanted to accomplish, you can see it here. At least it did shine in the sun like crazy so I guess Im forgiven ^^

Hope you guys liked it, thanks for stopping by! :) xx

Versatile Blogger Award

Hey ladies!

Im very excited to tell you that I've been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by Colour at your fingertips. Im so happy! Thank you again girl!

Basically there is 5 rules when it comes to this blog award:

1) Nominate 12 bloggers who are relatively new to blogging.
2) Let them know you have nominated them.
3) Share 7 random facts about yourself.
 4) Thank the blogger who nominated you by linking their blog.
5) Add versatile blogger award to your post.

7 facts about myself? Well ok:
1. Madly in love - also with nail polish :)
2. I dont own any gems for nail art, not even a tiny rhinestone.
3. Haven't bought any nail polish in 2 months, I know its a disgrace.
4. Finally ordered my first stamping kit and stamping plates.
5. I confess that I did make my boyfriend sit down with me and I did a full mani on his nails and to answer your question - nope, he didnt like it although the mani was nice.
6. Sucker for Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey :$
7. I have less than 100 polishes at the moment.

About the nominating.. So I basically dont follow that many blogs so its hard to find those newbies that could get nominated by me! I had hard time to nominate people for Liebster Award too :< Please forgive me if I leave it blank here so that you can let me know if you got any name that I could put into here :( I feel so bad about it :(

Let me at least tell you that Ill work hard, try to update this post or otherwise just keep on with my blog to give you something interesting to read :) Thanks for stopping by! xx

Puzzle, puzzle me!

Hello sweeties out there!

Today I have a little nail art for you to see :) Curious? Its puzzle design! I've seen so many puzzle designs out there and I was amazed! I like kind of funky manis so this one struck me deep. I thought it would be hard to make cause it looks kinda complicated but its not at all. You can imagine how happy Im now that I see how easy and stunning it is.

I checked youtube around for a tutorial but I cant really bring up one that inspired me, many ladies do it differently so all I got from the videos I've seen was idea that you dont really need to free-hand it!

This is what I ended up with:

This is actually my second attempt at this kind of design. I did one today earlier but the polishes I picked for it didnt match at all nor they showed the puzzle effect well :< So I re-did it with China Glaze Grape PoP and Nordic Cap NP07.

Basically what I did for my index and middle fingers was that I did paint them orange (would be hard for the orange to show well over the purple), cut a few of squares from my scotch tape, put them on my fingernail the way so that I get 2 "free from scotch tape" squares on my nails (opposite ends of my nail bed), paint there purple, pull off the tape and add dots with my dotting tool (orange dots on the purple squares and opposite) so that it looks like puzzle! It isnt hard at all, is it? :)

Did you try this design yet? :) Thanks for stopping by! xx

Franken gradient :)

Hello ladies!
Today I have another one of my frankens to show you but not in a swatch! I made a gradient instead but promise, swatches are yet to come!

The name of this polish is Blue Apples - baby blue base with fine golden glitter in it. I fell in love with it, I hope you will too :)

I used Blue Apples and sponged golden glitter into tips of my nails. I love the combo and I dont think I'll be doing any new mani anytime soon haha - thats how much I like this polish and this mani!

Im off to do some house work :) Hope you liked the mani, thanks for stopping by! xx

My first frankens!

Yes, you read right! I decided to try frankening for the first time and I quite liked it! I had some spare glitter and a few polishes that were nowhere workable so I went for a franken :)

I made 4 frankens at all but today Ill present 2 of my babies: Bowl of Cereal and Starry Morning! (I had some help from my boyfriend with naming them - so lucky Im!)

First comes my personal favorite: Bowl of Cereal.

Bowl of Cereal is a white base with purple fine glitter and red small hex glitter. The hex glitter got stuck to the bottle but theres plenty of it left in the polish :) I had a bad time photographing it cause the weather isnt nice and thats the best my poor cheap camera could do :(

The first thing my boyfriend said when he saw this polish was that it looks like bowl of cereal! Thats how I got the name of this polish :) Another very good thing about this one is that its one-coater. I did use 2 for good measure but I could get away with one!

Next in the lane is Starry Morning

Starry Morning is a lavender base with lots of silver shimmer. This one needed 2 coats but I love this polish :) It also reminds me a lot of OPI I Have A Herring Problem although Starry Morning is more purple-ish. I've got only one picture of this cause as you can see I had to swatch it on my right hand and I just cant take any pictures with my left hand :)

So, did you like my frankens? :D I love them! I think making your own kind of polish is amazing, every nail geek should try it!
