OPI Get Your Number - swatches and review!

Hello ladies!

I know you all have probably seen this polish already but I decided to post pictures of Get Your Number by OPI with the top coat on. Many of you couldnt get to like the liquid sand texture and I myself like the look with top coat just a bit more.

Dont get me wrong this polish is exactly what Im looking for when it comes to blue but I find it "more delicate" in the liquid sand form. Blah, blah, how about some pictures? :)

So extremely pretty, every time I have this polish on, I start with the liquid sand look then a day or two after that I add top coat (a few coats actually) and I cant stop staring at this polish. Even my boyfriend was drooling over Get Your Number, he said the color of it is really rich and, I quote, "cool-looking" :)

Get Your Number is a blue jelly base packed with different sizes of glitter. Top coat or not, its absolutely stunning either way you look at it! As you can see on the pictures, on the ring finger you can slightly see the free nail edge but believe me, it was not visible in real life. Formula of GYN is super easy to work with, drying time is slightly longer than normal polishes but nowhere to way-too-long if you know what I mean :)

I hope you enjoyed the swatches :)

Thank you for stopping by! :) xx

Depend nr 347, 353 and 354 - swatches and review!

Hello lovelies!

Like I said in my last post, I would show you swatches of Depend polishes for Spring I used for the gradient (you can see the mani here). So todays post will be exactly that: swatches! Lets start!

First of the bunch is Depend #347 a light peachy pink. It comes off more pink on those pictures that it really is, just imagine the shade with a bit more of peach in it :)

The formula on this one was very thin and runny, I had trouble to get it somehow even, this is 4 thin coats and its still patchy. I did try to paint my nails using thin or thick coats etc nothing helped this polish. Such a shame cause #347 is really pretty. Drying time was nor here nor there but it may be caused by my 4 coats.

Next in the line is Depend #353, a very beautiful electric indigo blurple. Yes, its somehow in between indigo blue and purple but leans more towards purple. Again those pictures shows #353 a bit too blue.

This was very opaque, completely different from #347. I even tried to stamp with this polish and it stamps, SCORE! 2 easy coats in this swatch. Formula was amazing, like I said, very opaque and vivid - thats how I like my blurples!

Last shade is Depend #354. Delicate lilac, just perfect for the Spring time :)

I know my cuticles are very red here, I have no clue what happened but it may be caused by lots of swatching I did that day so excuse me. This lilac has green shimmer in it! I was so excited to try this shade and when I finally did I was so disappointed. The shimmer is very strong in the bottle but doesnt transfer onto the nail. I mean not AT ALL :( Dont get me wrong here #354 is still a pretty color on its own its just such a shame there is not shimmer in it!

Formula of #354 was like in case of #347 runny. Somewhat more workable but still patchy. 3 coats in this swatch and you can still see the flaws of the polish. I know people can say it was my being sloppy but I really wasnt!

Overall Im pleasantly surprised with the range of the colors. I cant say about the whole collection but the shades I got are well.. at most acceptable. I got one more shade from this collection but the one deserves its own post. The formula on these was, like I wrote, different with each shade.

Thank you for stopping by! :) xx

Spring? Yes, please!

Hey ladies!

Todays quick post features some of the new Spring shades from Depend. I know its just middle of February but Im pretty sick of the winter already and I want the Spring to come early!

I did feel for a gradient (what a surprise huh?) so I used 3 of my 4 picks from the Spring collection.

For the gradient I used Depend nr 347 (peach), 353 (blue) and 354 (lilac in the middle). I topped it all with Black Polka Dot by Nubar (my newest addition to the collection). I just love black glitter and Black Polka Dot is just what this gradient needed :)

How about you, are you tired of the winter yet?

Ill post swatches of those Depend shades soon so stay tuned!

Thank you for stopping by! :) xx

A Butterfly Moment by OPI - swatches & review

Hey ladies!

Its been a while, I know and I apologize! As usual my school got in the way and I barely have time for anything else. I wont get into more details but I will show you one of my 2 picks from OPI Mariah Carey inspired collection.

A Butterfly Moment. This color stole my heart from the first swatches I ever saw. Let me tell you this, with my peachy skin tone (I just call it yellow cause that is exactly what it is) its amazingly difficult to pick a good nude. Not just any plain, boring nude but one that actually has something to it and looks good with my skin tone. A Butterfly Moment is just perfect, and let me show you why:

The pink base in TBM is just perfect for my skin tone and the golden shimmer in the polish gives that "it", that Im looking for in every polish. I know my skin is pale and would use some tan but this polish makes my hands look less yellow so thats a miracle!

The formula of A Butterfly Moment was a suprise for me. I expected the usual great formula that OPI used to gives us but this one was pretty thin and I was very afraid that it wont cover and will create streaks on my nails. Fear not ladies! The second coat was all I needed to get perfect coverage. Im amazed and satisfied. Found my perfect nude, if I may call it that. Yaaaay!

A tip for you that havent tried A Butterfly Moment yet: either do 3 very, very thin coats or 2 rather thick ones. Max 2-3 brush strokes for each nail no more. It will prevent the "frost" finish to be so obvious and you will get that soft pink shade with golden shimmer as in the bottle. I know that was an issue for some of the ladies that tried it. Thats it, I hope you find the post useful :)

Thank you for stopping by! :) xx
